The San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition appreciated your joy, love, applause, and support as our parade contingency took off in the San Diego Pride parade and we gave you performances that made you gag. We'd like to thank our amazing performers @kelzz32, @tawksyk, @tron_t, & @yaboylilbills (follow them on IG like now) and the always insatiable DJ Prodigee for giving us the beatz we needed to rise from the heat and make it sizzle. We'd also like to thank San Diego Black Artist Collective for showing their love and walking with us as well as joining us in our Black Pride Resource area of the San Diego Pride Festival, our amazing float architect Luis Garcia, our talented photographer Todd Jackson, and our very own Coalition members Ashli Davis on the mic and Savannah Brittian for the vision for our parade contingency. We'd also like to thank our community partners that joined us in the Black Pride Resource area of the San Diego Pride Festival: The Original Black Panthers, Eastridge Workforce Solutions, Urban Restoration Counseling Center, and the San Diego Black Artist Collective. Thank you for your support as we center and uplift Black LGBTQ voices, stories, experiences and celebrate our beauty and strength. Remember Pride is not just a weekend celebration but the theme Justice with Joy reminds us to continue our fight for liberation for us all especially in times where things look dark, as Marsha P. Johnson said,
"No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us".
