Collegiate Connections

I joined San Diego Black Pride because I am passionate about community work, empowerment, and simply just seeing folks have fun and grow together! During the 2024-2025 period, I hope to see more collabs and community socials than we’ve had before, and to really see more engagement between community members and San Diego Black Pride. A fun fact about myself is I have over 400 pairs of earrings (and wear them as much as I possibly can! 🤪)

Community Connections

There is so much hate and misunderstanding out in the world, especially towards Black LGBTQ+ people. I wanted to be part of something that helps bring light, love and a safe space for people like me. This group's mission and vision really aligned to my own goals in being a positive impact to our Black LGBTQ+ community. I look forward to serving our people and building a stronger Black LGBTQ+ community in San Diego.

I am Community Connections and Healthy Communities

I want to help continue the mission of the SD Black Pride by uniting diverse Black LGBTQ+ community members by providing them with space for a voice that is heard & respected (“a seat at the table”- Langston Hughes) for opportunities to make a difference, and a sustainable resourceful platform that centers around community, healing, growth, safety, and advocacy. #UnapologeticallyBlack I would love to connect with you. Thank you for your support. With gratitude & love 🤎

As a member of the communications team

As a member of the communications team. I will strive to raise awareness of the LGBTQ community by developing and maintaining communications of our strong relationships, projects and presence in this community. I want to bring my proactive spirit to this team to seek out new ideas for a basis of our media content and getting the word out about what your San Diego Black LGBTQ Coalition is doing for our community. Let’s be engaged together through our coalitions social media presence, blogs, and newsletters. See you out there.
